Bob’s Red Mill Almond Flour is one of our most popular gluten free, low carb flours, and we pride ourselves on the excellent performance and flavor of this high quality product. Whole blanched almonds are ground into a fine meal that lends a nutty flavor and moist texture to baked goods. As a general rule of thumb, you can also replace 25% of the all-purpose flour in your baking recipes with almond flour to add a wonderful texture and flavor while reducing the total carbohydrates.
Not only is almond flour a traditional choice for delicacies like French macarons and financiers, but this nutty meal can be used in savory applications, as well. Use it as a low carb flour alternative in place of bread crumbs in meatballs, or as a coating for chicken and fish. To keep it at peak freshness, almond flour and meal is best stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
